A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Cisco TelePresence TC and TE (Unified Communication Software). Cisco TelePresence TC Software 4.x and 5.x before 5.1.7 and 6.x before 6.0.1 and TE Software 4.x and 6.0 allow remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands by using the commands as arguments to tshell (aka tcsh) scripts, aka Bug ID CSCue60202.
The weakness was shared 04/30/2014 with Cisco as cisco-sa-20140430-tcte as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-2170 since 02/25/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication.
