An information disclosure vulnerability exists in the way that the Windows SMB Server handles certain requests. An authenticated attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could craft a special packet, which could lead to information disclosure from the server.
It is declared as attacked. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 91510 (Microsoft Windows Security Update March 2019). This issue was added on 05/23/2022 to the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog with a due date of 06/13/2022:
Apply updates per vendor instructions.Applying a patch is able to eliminate this problem. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
