In Pallets Jinja before 2.10.1, str.format_map allows a sandbox escape.
The bug was discovered 04/06/2019. The weakness was published 04/07/2019 (Website). The advisory is shared at lists.fedoraproject.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-10906 since 04/06/2019. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
