A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Mozilla Firefox up to 53.0.3 (Web Browser). Affected is the function graphite2::Silf::getClassGlyph of the component Graphite2 Library. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a out-of-bounds vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-125. The bug was discovered 06/13/2017. The weakness was disclosed 04/15/2019 as MFSA 2017-15 as confirmed security advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-7776 since 04/12/2017. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
