A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Apple iCloud up to 7.11 on Windows (Cloud Software). Affected by this issue is an unknown functionality of the component WebKit. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. The bug was discovered 05/13/2019. The weakness was shared 05/28/2019 by G. Geshev with Zero Day Initiative as HT210125 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2019-8595 since 02/18/2019. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. Multiple memory corruption issues were addressed with improved memory handling.
The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 15 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k.
