The Plugin Finder Service (PFS) in Firefox before 1.0.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a javascript: URL in the PLUGINSPAGE attribute of an EMBED tag.
The weakness was shared 04/18/2005 by Doron Rosenberg as MFSA2005-40 as not defined advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at mozilla.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-0752 since 03/17/2005. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
