Internet Explorer 4 allows remote attackers (malicious web site operators) to read the contents of the clipboard via the Internet WebBrowser ActiveX object.
The issue has been introduced in 04/01/1997. The weakness was shared 02/02/1999 by Carlos Garcia Cuartango as not defined posting (NTBugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-1999-1453. It is possible to launch the attack remotely.
