Libgcrypt before 1.6.3 and GnuPG before 1.4.19 does not implement ciphertext blinding for Elgamal decryption, which allows physically proximate attackers to obtain the server's private key by determining factors using crafted ciphertext and the fluctuations in the electromagnetic field during multiplication.
The bug was discovered 01/04/2016. The weakness was published 11/29/2019. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-3591. The exploitability is told to be difficult. An attack has to be approached locally. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. Upgrading to version 1.6.3 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published even before and not after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
