Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in Apple Mac OS X up to 10.4 (Operating System). Affected is an unknown part of the component Safari Widget. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in the Bluetooth file and object exchange (OBEX) services in Mac OS X 10.3.9 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files.
