Multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the nvd_exec function in HP Radia Notify Daemon 3.1.2.0 (formerly by Novadigm), and other versions including 2.x, 3.x, and 4.x, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a command with crafted parameters to a RADEXECD process.

The bug was discovered 05/03/2005. The weakness was published 06/02/2005 by John Cartwright (Website). The advisory is shared for download at itrc.hp.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2005-1825 since 06/02/2005. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
