Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Tiny File Manager 2.4.1. This affects an unknown functionality of the component Ajax File Copy Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
In Tiny File Manager 2.4.1 there is a vulnerability in the ajax file backup copy functionality which allows authenticated users to create backup copies of files (with .bak extension) outside the scope in the same directory in which they are stored.
The weakness was presented 04/28/2020. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2020-12103 since 04/23/2020. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely.
