The cvsweb CGI script in CVSWeb 1.80 allows remote attackers with write access to a CVS repository to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters.
The weakness was disclosed 07/12/2000 by Joey Hess (Website). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2000-0670.
