The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 296033 (Solaris 11.4 Support Repository Update (SRU) 5.3.0 Missing).
Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
