A vulnerability was found in RobTex Viking Server 1.06-355 and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown processing of the component GET Request Handler. Buffer overflow in RobTex Viking server earlier than 1.06-370 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary commands via a long HTTP GET request, or long Unless-Modified-Since, If-Range, or If-Modified-Since headers.
The weakness was disclosed 10/20/2000 by Aviram Jenik (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2000-0775. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
