A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in AVEVA Enterprise Data Management Web. Affected is an unknown code block. SQL injection vulnerability exists in the CHaD.asmx web service functionality of eDNA Enterprise Data Historian 3.0.1.2/7.5.4989.33053. Specially crafted SOAP web requests can cause SQL injections resulting in data compromise. Parameter ClassName in CHaD.asmx is vulnerable to unauthenticated SQL injection attacks.
The weakness was published 09/10/2020 by Yuri Kramarz with Cisco Talos as ICSA-20-254-01 (Website). The advisory is available at us-cert.cisa.gov. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2020-13500. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
