A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in McAfee VirusScan 4.5 (Anti-Malware Software). Affected is some unknown functionality of the file common.exe. The manipulation of the argument ImagePath with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-269. The default configuration of McAfee VirusScan 4.5 does not quote the ImagePath variable, which improperly sets the search path and allows local users to place a Trojan horse "common.exe" program in the C:\Program Files directory.
