A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, was found in Ikonboard 2.1.7b (Forum Software). Affected is some unknown functionality of the file register.cgi. The manipulation of the argument send_mail with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-269. register.cgi in Ikonboard 2.1.7b and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via the SEND_MAIL parameter, which overwrites an internal program variable that references a program to be executed.
