A vulnerability was found in HP JetAdmin up to 6.2. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component Admin Password Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a improper authentication vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-287. HP LaserJet, and possibly other JetDirect devices, resets the admin password when the device is turned off, which could allow remote attackers to access the device without the password.
