A vulnerability was found in Microsoft ISA Server 2000 (Firewall Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component Proxy Service. Memory leak in the proxy service in Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 allows local attackers to cause a denial of service (resource exhaustion).
The weakness was published 09/20/2001 with Microsoft as MS01-045 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). It is possible to read the advisory at microsoft.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2001-0547. The exploitation is known to be easy. Attacking locally is a requirement. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
