A vulnerability has been found in OpenBSD OpenSSH 3.0.1 (Connectivity Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component UseLogin Option. The manipulation of the argument LD_LIBRARY_PATH as part of a Environment Variable leads to a privileges management vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-269. OpenSSH 3.0.1 and earlier with UseLogin enabled does not properly cleanse critical environment variables such as LD_PRELOAD, which allows local users to gain root privileges.
