A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Mozilla Bugzilla 2.14.1 (Bug Tracking Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the file process_bug.cgi of the component Comment Handler. Bugzilla before 2.14.1 allows remote attackers to (1) spoof a user comment via an HTTP request to process_bug.cgi using the "who" parameter, instead of the Bugzilla_login cookie, or (2) post a bug as another user by modifying the reporter parameter to enter_bug.cgi, which is passed to post_bug.cgi.
The weakness was published 01/31/2002 as Bug tp://ww as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-0008. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
