A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Aeromail up to 1.40. Affected is an unknown code block of the file send_message.php of the component Attachment Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-269. send_message.php in AeroMail before 1.45 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files on the server, instead of just uploaded files, via an attachment that modifies the filename to be uploaded.
The bug was discovered 03/03/2002. The weakness was published 07/26/2002 (Website). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2002-0410.
