A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown function of the component HTML File Handler. Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0 does not register its associated files with Internet Explorer, which allows remote attackers to execute Visual FoxPro applications without warning via HTML that references specially-crafted filenames.
The weakness was shared 10/04/2002 by ERNE as MS02-049 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at microsoft.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2002-0696.
