NewAtlanta ServletExec ISAPI 4.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via (1) a request for a long .jsp file, or (2) a long URL sent directly to com.newatlanta.servletexec.JSP10Servlet.
The weakness was disclosed 10/04/2002 by Matt Moore with WESTPOINT as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at online.securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-0894. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
