A vulnerability was found in Oracle Application Server 1.0.2.1s (Application Server Software). It has been classified as critical. Affected is some unknown processing of the file sendmail.jsp. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability (Mail). CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-269. The sendmail.jsp sample page in Oracle 9i Application Server (9iAS) allows remote attackers to send arbitrary emails.
The weakness was shared 12/31/2002 by David Litchfield as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2002-1630 since 03/26/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
