Cross-site scripting vulnerability (XSS) in ASPjar Guestbook 1.00 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary script as other users via the "web site" parameter in a guestbook message.

The bug was discovered 05/04/2002. The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2002 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at online.securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-1729 since 06/21/2005. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
