BEA WebLogic Server and Express 6.1 through 7.0.0.1 buffers HTTP requests in a way that can cause BEA to send the same response for two different HTTP requests, which could allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive information that was intended for other users.
The bug was discovered 09/27/2002. The weakness was shared 12/31/2002 by BEA Systems with BEA Systems (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2002-2177 since 11/16/2005. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
