A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in phpWebSite 0.8.3 (Content Management System). Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the file article.php of the component IMG Tag Handler. The manipulation of the argument sid with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in article.php module for phpWebSite 0.8.3 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Javascript script via the sid parameter, as demonstrated using an IMG tag.
