A vulnerability was found in MIT Kerberos 4 (Network Authentication Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown part. Version 4 of the Kerberos protocol (krb4), as used in Heimdal and other packages, allows an attacker to impersonate any principal in a realm via a chosen-plaintext attack.

The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2003-0138 since 03/13/2003. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely.
