A vulnerability has been found in Happycgi Happymall 4.3/4.4 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the file normal_html.cgi. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in normal_html.cgi in Happycgi.com Happymall 4.3 and 4.4 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via .. (dot dot) sequences in the file parameter.
