A vulnerability was found in Happycgi Happymall 4.3/4.4 and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the file normal_html.cgi. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in normal_html.cgi in Happycgi.com Happymall 4.3 and 4.4 allows remote attackers to insert arbitrary web script via the file parameter.
The weakness was published 06/16/2003 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at marc.theaimsgroup.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2003-0278 since 05/12/2003.
