A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in PHPGEDVIEW 2.61 (Content Management System). This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file search.php. The manipulation of the argument firstname with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-80. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in search.php in PHPGEDVIEW 2.61 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML and web script via the firstname parameter.
The bug was discovered 01/06/2004. The weakness was disclosed 01/06/2004 as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-0032. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
