A vulnerability has been found in cPanel up to 9.1 (Hosting Control Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component Login. The login page for cPanel 9.1.0, and possibly other versions, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via shell metacharacters in the user parameter.

The weakness was published 03/11/2004 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-1770 since 03/10/2005.
