The RPM installation of SAP DB 7.x creates the (1) dbmsrv or (2) lserver programs with world-writable permissions, which allows local users to gain privileges by modifying those programs.
The weakness was presented 04/15/2004 with SNOSoft (Website). The advisory is shared at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2003-1034 since 03/15/2004.
