Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in index.jsp for Liferay before 2.2.0 release 10/1/2004 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, as demonstrated using the message subject.
The bug was discovered 01/14/2004. The weakness was disclosed 05/22/2004 by Sandeep Giri (Website). The advisory is available at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-2030 since 05/04/2005. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
