A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Francisco Burzi PHP-Nuke 8.0 Final (Content Management System). Affected is some unknown processing of the file index.php of the component Search Module. The manipulation of the argument instory with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in index.php in the Search module for Php-Nuke allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL statements via the instory parameter.

The bug was discovered 07/16/2004. The weakness was disclosed 07/27/2004 by Janek Vind with waraxe (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2004-0732 since 07/22/2004. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.
