Apple Safari 1.0 through 1.2.3 allows remote attackers to spoof the URL displayed in the status bar via TABLE tags.

The weakness was disclosed 11/01/2004 by Gilbert Verdian as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-1121 since 12/01/2004. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
