A vulnerability was found in Francisco Burzi PHP-Nuke up to 7.1 (Content Management System). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file modules.php. The manipulation of the argument title/fname with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in modules.php for Php-Nuke 6.x-7.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary script as other users via URL-encoded (1) title or (2) fname parameters in the News or Reviews modules.
The weakness was shared 11/23/2004 by Janek Vind with waraxe (Website). The advisory is shared at marc.info. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2004-0265. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
