A vulnerability was found in Zen Cart up to 1.1.4 (Warehouse Management System Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file login.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. SQL injection vulnerability in login.php in Zen Cart 1.1.2d, 1.1.4 before patch 1, and possibly other versions allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL via the (1) admin_name or (2) admin_pass parameters.
The weakness was shared 05/17/2004 by Oliver Minack as confirmed posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is available at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-2023 since 05/04/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
