A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Francisco Burzi PHP-Nuke up to 6.9 (Content Management System). This issue affects some unknown functionality of the file modules.php. The manipulation of the argument entry with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. SQL injection vulnerability in 4nGuestbook 0.92 for PHP-Nuke 6.5 through 6.9 allows remote attackers to modify SQL statements via the entry parameter to modules.php, which can also facilitate cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks when MySQL errors are triggered.
The weakness was shared 12/31/2004 (Website). The advisory is shared at archives.neohapsis.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2004-2354 since 08/16/2005. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction.
