A vulnerability has been found in AXIS 2110 Network Camera up to 2.40 (Network Camera Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the file virtualinput.cgi. Axis Network Camera 2.40 and earlier, and Video Server 3.12 and earlier, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via accent (`) and possibly other shell metacharacters in the query string to virtualinput.cgi.
The bug was discovered 08/16/2004. The weakness was shared 08/22/2004 by bashis (Website). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com.
