A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Ubbcentral UBB.threads up to 6.4.4. This issue affects some unknown processing of the file showflat.php. The manipulation of the argument Cat with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. The bug was discovered 12/06/2004. The weakness was presented 12/13/2004 by gp (Website). The advisory is shared at archives.neohapsis.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2004-2510 since 10/25/2005. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
