A vulnerability was found in Internet Sofware Sciences Web+Center 4.0.1 and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file search.asp of the component Search. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in Internet Software Sciences Web+Center 4.0.1 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via (1) the ISS_TECH_CENTER_LOGIN cookie in search.asp and (2) one or more cookies in DoCustomerOptions.asp.
The weakness was released 07/22/2004 by Noam Rathaus (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2004-2561 since 11/22/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
A public exploit has been developed in Perl and been published immediately after the advisory. The exploit is available at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:search.asp it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
