A vulnerability has been found in Pegasi Web Server 0.2.2 (Web Server) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects some unknown functionality. Directory traversal vulnerability in Pegasi Web Server (PWS) 0.2.2 allows remote attackers to read files outside of the web root via a .. (dot dot) directly after the initial / (slash) in the URI.

The weakness was shared 03/11/2004 by Donato Ferrante (Website). The advisory is available at archives.neohapsis.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-2617 since 12/04/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1006 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
