rdesktop 1.3.1 with xscreensaver 4.14, and possibly other versions, when running on Fedora and possibly other platforms, does not release the keyboard focus when xscreensaver starts, which causes the password to be entered into the active window when the user unlocks the screen.

The bug was discovered 08/03/2004. The weakness was presented 12/31/2004 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at ubuntulinux.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-2655 since 04/07/2006. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely.
