A vulnerability was found in Heiko Stamer Openskat 2.0. It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is the function checkgroup. The CheckGroup function in openSkat VTMF before 2.1 generates public key pairs in which the "p" variable might not be prime, which allows remote attackers to determine the private key and decrypt messages.
The weakness was presented 11/10/2004 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2004-2721 since 10/06/2007.
