A vulnerability has been found in Photopost ReviewPost PHP Pro up to 2.83 (Programming Language Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code of the file showcat.php. The manipulation of the argument product with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in ReviewPost PHP Pro before 2.84 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) cat parameter to showcat.php or (2) product parameter to addfav.php.
The weakness was shared 01/03/2005 by James Bercegay with Gulftech as not defined posting (Bugtraq). The advisory is shared at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2005-0271 since 02/10/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
