Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in Hola CMS up to 1.4.9 1 (Content Management System). This affects some unknown processing of the file holadb/votes. The manipulation of the argument vote_filename with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on integrity. The summary by CVE is:
HolaCMS 1.4.9 does not restrict file access to the holaDB/votes directory, which allows remote attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a modified vote_filename parameter.
