Firefox before 1.0 and Mozilla before 1.7.5 display the SSL lock icon when an insecure page loads a binary file from a trusted site, which could facilitate phishing attacks.

The bug was discovered 01/31/2005. The weakness was shared 03/23/2005 by Jesse Ruderman as Bug 257308 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-0143 since 01/25/2005. The exploitation is known to be difficult.
