A vulnerability was found in Apple Mac OS X up to 4.3.10 (Operating System). It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown functionality of the file exif.c. exif.c in PHP before 4.3.11 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and crash) via an EXIF header with a large IFD nesting level, which causes significant stack recursion.

The bug was discovered 04/14/2005. The weakness was published 04/14/2005 with PHP Group (Website). The advisory is shared for download at ubuntulinux.org.
